~ my husband rocks! ~

Photobucket

Hey gang! It's finally Friday again! It's been an exciting, surprising week here in our little corner of the world, and I hope it has been the same for you!

If you haven't been here all week, don't forget to enter the giveaway! Very exciting stuff!

This week, I want to tell you all about my gorgeous husband's amazing work ethic. Austin is the hardest, most efficient worker I have ever known. He will work some of the craziest hours and not complain about it. These last two weeks, he worked from early in the morning at his "real" job, picked me up from work, and we ran the Shopper route until late at night. And he just got up the next morning and started again. Thankfully, this week we did not have to run the route, but he has still given his all at work.

And don't even get me started about this house. Without his drive and encouragement, I'm sure we never would have finished. Look how hard he's working in the dead of winter when we had no heat in this place:

Quick trip to Menard's to get supplies:

Back to work!

Now it's summer, and it's crazy hot, but he's keeping at it:

(I did work, and not just take pictures the whole time):

And in the midst of all this, he took time of from work, and from working on the house to volunteer for Hurricane Katrina cleanup:

He's a fabulous husband and an amazing, responsible man. I am so proud of him. My husband rocks my socks off!

  2. With so many men out there who are selfish and who want to just slide by on the least amount of work possible, it's so amazing to have a husband who works so hard. What a great guy!

  3. That's awesome that your hubby is so hard working. WHat a great quality - says so much about his character.

I did my first MHR post today. I don't know if I did it "right" - either way, I had fun with it and my hubby has told me he's looking forward to reading it, especially after I told him why I thought he rocked!

  4. Your husband definitely does rock! He looks like such a hard worker, and reading about his helping with Katrina clean-up brought tears to my eyes.

I don't think my husband would have ever guessed some of the thoughts I have toward him had it not been for these posts, which tells me I don't tell him how much I appreciate him near enough. Thank you for giving all of us an outlet!

  17. That's great that you have such a hard-working hubby! I imagine that it gives you sense of security as well as pride. So that - if - one day (God forbid) that he should be out-of-work or something - you know that he will be busting his gut to provide for his family and you'll never catch him being idle or lazy. That is a real blessing and definitely worth treasuring.

  18. I posted about my hard-working husband, so it was great to come here and discover you'd written about your hard-working husband, too.

BTW, I was also Marianne Dashwood on the Austen heroine quiz.

  25. Having someone with a strong work ethic is SUCH a blessing. My ex didn't have one (but thought he did - there's a dangerous combination) therefore I know how important it is. You've got a wonderful guy there!
