Holiday Weekend Spontaneity

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Hope you all are doing well!

We've had several posts about our Sharm el-Sheikh trip recently, and there's some more to that story to come; however, I wanted to fill you in on our most recent adventure! We had a really fun, spontaneous getaway over Fourth of July weekend!

For the week or so leading up to the Fourth, we had talked about going somewhere, done some research, and looked into different places to stay within driving distance, but we hadn't finalized any plans. We went down to our neighbors' for some sparklers and fireworks on Thursday night and were there pretty late! So we slept in on Friday, not really thinking that we were going to be doing anything too elaborate for the weekend.

A realtor had scheduled a showing for Friday afternoon, so we spent the morning prepping the house and skedaddled out of there with the dog shortly before her scheduled appointment. Unfortunately, the realtor ended up canceling . . . an HOUR after her scheduled appointment time . . . so needless to say, we were frustrated about having to unnecessarily waste so much of the first day of our long weekend.

Since it was our first Independence Day in Florida, we didn't really know where we wanted to go for a fireworks celebration. After a little Internet research, we decided to take advantage of our Sea World season passes and go down there for their Fourth of July festivities!

We got down to Sea World around 6pm and enjoyed a couple of rides that we hadn't yet experienced. The big event that we were excited for was the last Shamu show of the night: Shamu's Celebration: Light Up The Night! So we made our way over to Shamu Stadium at around 6:45 (the show didn't start until 8:15). It was good that we went so early because the line was already rather substantial.

They started letting us in around 7:30, and we were able to score some pretty sweet seats dead center in the splash zone!

 photo 37048648-7014-4ef1-91c8-2acf2924bb4c_zps5af49a8e.jpg

The show was very good, I always really enjoy seeing the animals and trainers interact! The grand finale was incredible with all five humongous whales moving in beautiful synchronicity along with fireworks exploding behind them! I was fortunate enough to get some fun video:

After the final Shamu Show, they put on a big concert after which they had their huge fireworks, but we decided to beat the crowd out of the park and left while the fireworks were going on. We made it home rather late and slept in again on Saturday!

Saturday morning we were just bumming around the house when Austin said, "Let's go to the Keys!"

So we quickly packed for a potential overnight (including everything we would need to "car camp" just in case we couldn't find a hotel), got Hallie and her stuff loaded, and headed out! From the time Austin had the idea to the time we were on the road was about an hour!

Since we had never been down to the Keys before, we decided to go for broke and go all the way down to Key West, which is about six hours from home for us. We weren't in a hurry, and it was a beautiful day! We had packed snacks so we ate those for our lunch, and we stopped a little bit before Miami at a Chick-fil-A to take advantage of our July calendar-card freebie: a free hand-spun shake! (We bought four calendars in December, so we each have two cards, which means we each enjoy the freebie twice a month.)

We thoroughly enjoyed the scenic drive south, and arrived at the southernmost point of the United States around 5pm. The point is marked with a large monument, and it is apparently a very popular spot! So popular, in fact, that there was a very long line to get your picture taken in front of the monument. Rather than wait in that line, we sat on a little bench a little bit to the side of the monument and got a selfie that way, so please pay no attention to the Indian family that is photobombing our southernmost point photo! :P

Austin & Katy at the Southernmost Point in the United States!

After seeing the southernmost point of the US, we made our way to the Higgs Beach Dog Park for Hallie to run off some steam and use the bathroom. There were a few other dogs there playing, so she had a great time! The park is a great size and has a water station and shaded tables for humans. There's a small dogs only section, and an area for the larger dogs to rough house! The only frustrating thing about this park is that the beach that is adjacent to the dog park is not open to dogs!

Hallie playing at the Higgs Beach Dog Park

Hallie is a great little traveler, and she always does great in the car! This trip was no exception! She's also crazy popular everywhere we go! I find that few people have ever seen a dog that looks exactly like her - she's a Basenji/Golden Retriever mix, and she's this gorgeous copper color with a fluffy tail that curls over her back when she's excited, and her face often looks like she's smiling!

After the dog park it was about sunset hour, so we made our way over to Mallory Square Dock to take it in! Mallory Square Dock is in the heart of old Key West. It's surrounded by old shops and museums and restaurants, and it hosts Sunset Celebration, "Key West's premier nightly arts festival!". Sunset is the key time of day for this attraction, and the square is very busy! Street food vendors, fortune tellers, and souvenir sellers set up all along the edge of the sidewalk, and the whole place takes on a celebratory air! Even though it was pretty crowded, Austin was able to get this gorgeous shot of the sunset!

 photo 451cca3f-3294-489e-80f9-bc802e8fbb4c_zps661b1d66.jpg

The last stop of the night was a late dinner at Outback Steakhouse! Austin had received a gift card, and he had also figured out how to leave the Prius on but lock it at the same time so that Hallie would be in a comfortable, climate-controlled environment while we enjoyed our dinner! (He's so smart!)

After dinner, we decided to make our way back north. We wanted to get back to the mainland so as not to get caught in the wave of holiday travelers that would be making their way back in the morning, so as Austin drove, I looked for a hotel that would welcome the three of us (including the dog) -- which is harder than you would initially imagine! Thankfully we found a nice La Quinta Inn & Suites just outside of Miami! Not only do La Quintas welcome pets, they also do not charge a fee to have one in the room! (Some of the hotels we called were charging up to $75 fees to "accommodate" a dog in the room! That's stinking highway robbery! The dog should get their own room for that price! Sorry, rant ended.)

We made it to the hotel a little bit after 2am, checked in, and settled in for the short night. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning, and set off for our next adventure!

 photo c764748d-de07-43e2-a559-f257f6bf7b7e_zps1bf9bc04.jpg
Hallie loved the hotel!

Side note: Hallie loved staying in the hotel! It was her first time - and we didn't bring the kennel, so we were a little nervous, but she did great! She did hide between the chair and the mirror while we were at breakfast, but she ate and drank and didn't get into anything or make any messes! She is such a good dog!

Our plan for Sunday morning was to drive through the Everglades -- another quintessential Florida adventure that we hadn't yet experienced! (Which was a big part of why we decided to stay just south of Miami, near Homestead where the entrance to the main road through the park is.)

 photo c8565132-bfa2-4816-a00b-dd13160b328b_zpsa0c058c0.jpg

There is a fee of $10 to enter the park, and from the moment you arrive they start warning you about the mosquitos. Seriously. There's a blinky sign on the front of the pay-station point that says, "Mosquito Risk: High." The first stop inside the park was the visitor's center to have a quick look around and grab a map. In the parking lot we saw a mother and son applying bug repellent, and they asked if we had been attacked yet. This did not bode well. Once inside we picked up our map and asked the helpful guide for some basic highlights and information. She gave us some pointers on the map and she too was quick to advise bug repellent!

We got back in the car and started down the road that leads through the park. Unlike some of the other national parks that we have been to, the road doesn't go all the way through the park and come out on the other side; it ends at the ocean, and to leave the park you have to turn around and drive all the way back the way you came. (It's approximately 45 miles one way.)

 photo 12b15b85-2773-481d-b16c-dfb27d2bf17a_zps7383c484.jpg
Gator!

We did drive the whole road from Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center to Flamingo where the other visitor center/museum is located. We got out of the car a total of three times for a combined time of no more than fifteen minutes. The first stop was Royal Palm where the guide had told us we would be most likely to see alligators. We were not disappointed as there was one chilling in the water just feet from the boardwalk! The second place we stopped was Long Pine Key. They had a little picnic area, and Hallie was allowed to get out there, so we leashed her and sat and looked at the lake for a minute. Literally, about a minute was all it took for the mosquitos to swarm, so we hightailed it back into the car. Our third and final stop was at the Flamingo Visitors' Center. This spot was reportedly the best for seeing crocodiles and manatees, though we didn't see either. There was a small, rather bizarre museum that looked like it hadn't been updated since the seventies. There also used to be a restaurant at Flamingo, but it apparently sustained some damage during a hurricane in 2010 and has yet to be repaired and reopened. The whole visitors' center had a deserted feel to it that was a little bit creepy. When we got back to the car we had to go on a killing spree and smash the nearly twenty mosquitos that had weaseled their way into the vehicle when we opened the doors.

Needless to say, we probably won't be returning to the Everglades any time soon. We love national and state parks (in fact, our third anniversary trip was an incredible road trip through Yosemite, Grand Tetons, Mount Rushmore, etc.), but this one seemed somewhat repetitive as far as terrain was concerned, and the facilities were all rather run down and outdated. But it's one thing that can be checked off of our "Florida Bucket List!"

In summary, we LOVED the Keys and will definitely be making a return trip, but next time we'll skip the Everglades! ;)

The rest of the drive home was rather uneventful. We listened to The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe (the Focus on the Family Radio Theatre version), I read out loud from one of our sailing books, and we enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Chipotle at about the halfway point!

All in all, it was a great weekend filled with spontaneous and unexpected adventure! That's one of my favorite things about sharing life with Austin -- he's always up for anything, and he often has some pretty incredible ideas and the determination to make them happen!

How did you celebrate Independence Day this year?

Thanks for stopping by!

I love getting to serve the Lord every day with my very best friend! It has been such a wild, crazy, roller coaster ride to get to this point, but I am so thankful that God has given me someone so amazing to face the ups and downs with!

This week I had a fabulous moment of "Austin is so good at his job!"

We hold Club every Monday afternoon for Middle School students and Monday evening for High School students. This week was Austin's turn to give the talk, and his topic was sin and Easter. I was able to video tape a chunk of it:

People are often very resistant to this topic, and Austin was speaking to a pretty tough crowd on Monday evening, but as I was standing there listening to him clearly communicate the Gospel message and the hope and joy of Easter, my heart was so full! It hit me, once again, that God obviously knew what He was doing (He always does) when He put us here and when He put us together!

I may be a little biased (just slightly), but I think Austin is so naturally gifted in speaking and interacting with our students! I LOVE watching him be used by God!

My husband rocks! <3

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!

I am a bad blogger . . .

I love blogging.

I really do.

Well, I like the idea of blogging.

And I like trolling for "blog inspiration."

I just have no blogging groove.

But I do love this blog. I love everything about ~ My Husband Rocks! ~ Fridays, and I have a pretty amazing life, and TONS of stories to tell. I just need to get back on the horse.

Baby steps.

Awesome stuff from the past ten days:

*Spectacular 7 (minus 3 :( ) reunion Pancakes & Pajamas Party at our place was pretty fantastic. (The Spectacular Seven was the name of my small group at Winter Blitz).

*Getting to hang out with one of my favorite high school students, "K" for nearly the entire weekend :)

*Amazing prayer breakfast on post with a lot of wonderful officers and chaplains!

Some stuff I'm looking forward to, and that I might blog about in the future:

*Going to Colorado - We have our Youth For Christ MidWinter conference in Denver this week, so we fly tomorrow morning! Also super excited that we get to see family and friends who conveniently live very close by, and CRAZY excited about our extended layover to visit Mike & Julia in SC! :)

*The Whole30 - After we get home, Austin and I will be embarking on a nutritional adventure of epic proportions! Click here for all the details.

*The In-Laws are coming! And I'm super excited (really!)!!! Austin's parents are scheduled to come and visit us in May, and they already have plane tickets and passports, so it's really happening! We have a pretty awesome couple of weeks mapped out while they're here, and we are so excited for them to see where we live all the way across the ocean!

Well, that's life in a nutshell for now.

No matter where we are, how much money we have, or who else is around, we are who we are - each others' best friends! I have been so very aware of this fact all week, and I have also come to the realization that this is not a reality for everyone! I am so blessed to have a husband who loves me, who defends me, and who will always go to bat for me!

I am thankful for my

Just the facts . . .

Hello blog land!

I've missed you! Really, I have! I know I have been sporadic at best and MIA at worst for most of the last year, but not without good cause! I'm working on a series of post to explain my absence and everything that occurred between right now and December-ish of 2009 (wow, that's a long time), but for now I thought I'd get everyone up to speed with the who's, what's, why's & wherefore's :)

1. I'm still Katy Lin, still married to my crazy, amazing, handsome hubby Austin.

2. We live in Germany now.

3. We are missionaries with Club Beyond/Military Community Youth Ministries. Austin is working as associate staff, and I'm the International office admin at their international service center.

4. God is good.

Hope you're all doing well! Chat at ya again soon!

I know I say that a lot on here, but it's the honest to goodness truth!

It has been one crazy year, and I would have probably gone stark, raving mad if it weren't for Austin. He continually amazes me with his awesomeness ;) He so totally rocks!

~ my husband rocks! ~ What's the point?

It has been a crazy year, and as such my posting has been a little erratic. I thought it would be a good idea at this point to go back to the basics of MHRF, and lay out the real reasons we do this on a mostly weekly basis.

If you've read any of my MHR posts from the past two years (I know, can you believe it?), you'll have to admit that my husband is a pretty incredible guy :) - but you know what doesn't go into those posts? Every time we have an argument, or when he does something that really ticks me off, or when he's in a bad mood, or when he's just plain frustrating.

I know what you're thinking, "Wait a second, you mean you post the good things about Austin, but you just leave out the bad things? That seems a little dishonest!"

That is where you would be wrong. Sorry :)

There are several reasons that I don't write long ranting posts about the less-than-great parts of my marriage. First of all, it isn't really anyone's business, and it would ultimately do way more harm than good to me, Austin, our emotional health and the overall health of our marriage. But mostly because that would be far too easy.

Now, that's not to say that the negative aspects of marriage far outweigh the positive (although that is definitely what the world would like us to believe). It would be easier to rant about the negative while overlooking the positive than to choose to focus on the positive because I am a selfish, fallen, broken human being married to an equally fallen and broken human being. There's no getting around that this side of heaven.

So what's the point of My Husband Rocks! Fridays? Simply that choosing to focus on all of the wonderful things our husbands do and say and are helps us remember on the not-so-wonderful days why we got married in the first place. And not only that, but showing enough respect for our husbands to not air all of our dirty laundry, but to brag on them and build them up will do far more for the betterment of our marriages than if they "fixed" everything "broken" about them.

Because when it comes right down to it, we wives do a lot of things to frustrate, annoy, anger, and yes, even antagonize our husbands, and I don't think I'm going too far out onto a limb to say that we would much rather they tell their friends and co-workers about the amazing cake we made for dessert last night than how much we nagged them to fix the leaky faucet.

Just some food for thought!

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!

Hello and happy Friday everyone!

Well we did it . . . while Austin and I were in Colorado a few of weeks ago, we decided to attempt to climb Pikes Peak - summit altitude 14,110 ft! It was one of our goals when we left in January to be in good enough shape when we came back to climb Pikes Peak, and we did it!

And it was HARD!!!

It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life!

But Austin wouldn't let me quit . . . no matter how much I whined or complained, he wouldn't believe that I "couldn't" do it!

And I love that about him!

Okay, there were a few moments on the side of the mountain that I wanted to chuck him off said mountain, but I really do love that he loves me enough to help me grow and to stretch me beyond what is comfortable and easy!

Seriously, you know those people. In high school they were the ones who effortlessly scored straight A+'s, starred in the school play, started for the football team, led worship for youth group, volunteered at the homeless shelter and the nursing home, and worked 7 days a week! You remember those people?

I'm married to one of those people! Honestly, there are days when that absolutely drives me up a wall because I am not one of those people - not even close!

But Austin is good - he excels - at whatever he sets his mind to.

This week we are in Colorado, where my family lives, and they just so happened to be offering a FREE lifeguarding/CPR/first aid course in which my dad offered to let us participate.

First day of the class, Austin completes his distance swim and his swim/dive for weight/swim some more tests without even breaking a sweat! (Okay, it did require some effort on his part - a lot of effort considering it was also our first full day at altitude, but come on!) He also breezed through our first written test, and if our study session last night was any indication, the final testing that we do today will be a piece of cake for him!

Now me, on the other hand, I'll be thrilled to death if I can stagger to the finish line on my distance swim today - which I attempted on the first day, but decided that I choose life, lol!

Anyway, that's just one small way that my husband has rocked my world this week :)

Love you, Baby!

~ My Husband Rocks! ~ hard, hard worker :)

Be sure to check out the new deal from Union 28!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Austin has always been a hard worker. In fact, I've blogged about it a couple times here and here, and a couple of other places that I wasn't able to find, but you get the idea :)
Now that we're in full-time ministry, which is a lot like being self-employed we're finding, I had kind of thought that he would relax a little bit - not that he would ever be lazy, but . . . . you know what I mean.
He takes his responsibility of running the logistics side of the ministry very seriously, and he is so very good at it! It makes my head spin sometimes to think about all of the things he is running through his mind at the same time! From plane tickets, to in-country transportation, to communicating with about a dozen different people via phone and e-mail he's constantly on!
He is also so conscientious about handling money - he's always been good with money and responsible about our spending, but the fact that the money he's now responsible for comes from donors all over the place makes him that much more determined to see that not a penny goes to waste.
Anyway, I think he's pretty incredible, and I am so thankful that God has given me such a wonderful husband, friend, confidant, co-worker, lover, partner, travel buddy, room-mate, and family member :) I couldn't imagine sharing the adventure with anyone else.
Love you, Baby!
Sweet Shot Tuesday! (Our First :D)
Sweet Shot Day
Today is my first day participating in Sweet Shot Tuesday - hosted over at Life with My 3 Boybarians, and I'm super excited.
I am not a very good photographer, but my hubby, Austin, (about whom I regularly brag blog on My Husband Rocks! Fridays) is a phenomenal photographer, so on these posts the photos are most likely taken by him. Occasionally I will get a dumb-luck good shot here or there, so I may post those from time to time :)
This week's photo, Austin took while we were in Peru.  I think it's absolutely gorgeous, and it's one I never would have "seen" - so I'm really glad he's got the eye!
Big thanks to Darcy for hosting Sweet Shots :) What a fun way to see lots of great photos and share some of our faves!
HELLO!!!!!!!!
Long time no blog!
We are back in the States for about a month checking in with our families and friends, speaking at churches, and doing some more fundraising!
What that means for the great adventure is that the Internet will be far more reliable, and I may get to post more often - hopefully, that's the plan anyway, lol!
Anyway, here we go:
My husband ROCKS because people just can't help but love him!
I know what you're thinking ('can you say partial?'), and I know I probably am a little biased, but once you hear my stories, you'll understand :)
The other day we were visiting some friends, and we ended up getting to their town on the night of their small group. We told them not to cancel, and they invited us to go with them, so we found ourselves eating dinner with a roomful of strangers, except for our friends with whom we were staying (not an uncommon occurrence these days, but always a little rattling for me). Part of the way through the meal it struck me that not only was Austin having a great time, he was also the life of the party! He kept us all laughing from start to finish, and everyone was having a ball! He has such a great sense of humor, and he just puts people at ease!
This got me to thinking, and as I reflected upon it I realized that he does this all the time - no matter where in the wide world we are!
When we were in the Czech Republic we were working with Military Community Youth Ministry, and on our second week there, Austin was put in charge of a group of American students doing a work project in one of the schools. He was also in charge of running a workshop that would encourage the American students and the Czech students to hang out and get to know each other. The first day that the groups got together to plan their strategy for the week, Austin's work group took to him so quickly, and by the end of the meeting everyone was referring to him as "awesome Austin!" The first day that the groups were in the schools, they were offering several workshops (journal making, football, basketball, cheerleading, etc.) Austin's group (board games/hang out) drew about a dozen Czech students. By the end of the week they were up to almost sixty!!! :)
Lest you think his magnetic personality is only in effect on the other side of the ocean, I have one more piece of bragging anecdotal evidence! :) As I said at the beginning, part of the reason that we're back in the States for a bit is to speak at churches and raise support. (And when I say "we" are speaking, I mean Austin is speaking and I'm in the back being nervous for him, lol!) So, this past Sunday we had engagements at two churches, one right after the other, so after the first one Austin had to hurry over to the second one, so I stayed and greeted people as the service got out. It seemed that everyone I talked to had something to say about how interesting and entertaining it was to listen to Austin speak, and many went on and on about how they couldn't believe how polished and professional he was - and he doesn't use ANY notes!!!
He's pretty amazing!
Wow! It's obvious that I haven't been doing this often enough because I had A LOT to say! And there's so much more I'd like to add, but if you're still reading this I don't want to push my luck :)
~ My Husband Rocks! ~ Friday - Adventurous
One of the things I love the most about Austin is how adventurous he is, and how willing he is to try new things! In our new life, that's something that has, and will continue to, serve him very well!
Here's a couple of examples from the past couple of weeks. Last weekend, on our way between Pisa and Aviano, we stopped overnight in the Cinque Terre (which is absolutely incredible, btw). We got dinner at this adorable little restaurant, and Austin ordered the pesto lasagna, because we had been told that we had to try the pesto in Vernazza, and he had been dying to have lasagna in Italy. He thought that what he ordered was a piece of meaty, red-sauced lasagna with a side of pasta au pesto. Much to his surprise, the waiter brought him green lasagna.
He kind of laughed at the situation, then dug right in. As we were leaving the restaurant, I asked him if he enjoyed his Italian eating experience and he said, "It was pretty good, but I think I prefer the penne with the pesto." We both looked at each other and then burst out laughing because that was a sentence I never thought I'd hear my husband say, lol!
The other instance occurred earlier this week. Working with military contractors on bases definitely has its perks. One of which is the use of the on base gym and fitness center. Monday after work we joined one of the MCYM staff members at the gym for a "Turn & Burn" class. Forty five minutes of spinning followed by 45 minutes of power yoga. It's quite the workout, and the trainer was really fun, but I was most impressed with my adorable hubby who participated in both spinning and yoga and gave every position a try! He even did his breathing right!!! :) There was another spinning class on Wednesday evening, so we took our gym clothes with us to work that day. As we were leaving the house, Austin said, "I'm glad it's just spinning tonight, not spinning followed by yoga." Another one of those sentences I never expected to come out of his mouth!
He would tell you that he's not a very adventurous eater and that he's pretty picky, but as you can tell, he'll try just about anything once! I LOVE that about him! My husband so totally rocks! :)
~ My Husband Rocks! ***Sunday*** ~ Mr. Fix-It
Click here to read about why I started MHR Fridays!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Because of our new, ever mobile, ever unpredictable lifestyle, I am posting on a Sunday. It's my meme, get off my back :)

This week, Austin rocks because he's awesome. That's all.

Just kidding.

We arrived in Belgium on Sunday, February 7th. Our bags were not here to meet us. In fact, they did not arrive until almost 30 hours later. When they did arrive, the airline brought them all the way to Tim's house so we didn't have to go and pick them up, which was great, but mine was busted open and missing several items (including my MHR shirt!!!) - which was NOT great!

My amazing husband took care of contacting the airlines multiple times, and is still taking care of dealing with them to get some compensation, even though he's been sick all week.

And not only that, but he fixed my bag so it is totally functional, and we don't have to buy a new one!

He totally rocks, even though I no longer have the shirt to prove it!

~ My Husband Rocks! ~ my rock . . .

Click here to read about why I started MHR Fridays!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you may have guessed from my nearly complete lack of presence in the blog world recently, we are off on our incredible missions adventure, so i'm going to be sporadic at best, but I do still get to read most of your posts - even if I'm unable to comment!
This week, and most of the time, Austin rocks because he's my rock! Of course, God is my true rock, but I love that he allows Austin to be my physically present rock :) - We leave tomorrow for a long stint overseas, and I'm honestly a little bit scattered, and somewhat nervous. Austin is always so good about calming me down and helping me see what is really important, and what I don't really need to mess with!
He's pretty stinking amazing :)
Why did your spouse rock this week?
~ My Husband Rocks! ~ breaking the cycle . . .
Click here to read about why I started MHR Fridays!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you've never read the book Love and Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs, I would highly recommend it. In the first couple of chapters, Dr. E describes what he calls the "crazy cycle" in which a husband and wife often find themselves. Basically it starts out with the wife being disrespectful to her husband, so he responds by being unloving, which only inspires her to be more disrespectful, and you see how it can all go downhill from there. Anyone who has ever been married can understand how easy it is to find oneself on this cycle, and it is not a fun ride!

Well, last night I got the cycle spinning but good. I was being a first-class brat, and at first, Austin spun right along with me. But then his whole demeanor changed. He made the concious decision to be the bigger person, and he loved me (in my own "language") in spite of my nasty, spiteful, disrespectful attitude.

It's heartbreakingly wonderful to be loved like that!

Why does your spouse rock this week?
